This new website is designed to assist people of all ages and from all walks of life to improve their standard of written English: the college or university student, the captain of industry, the politician, the aspirational businessman or simply anyone who wants to attain a good / excellent level of proficiency in the English language.

As one who has spent many years tutoring and mentoring the citizens of over forty different nations, I have found that more and more learners of English are seeking specific help with their written English skills. However, at King of the Queen's English I assist students with a host of different aspects to their learning of the language, including interview technique, and preparation for tests and examinations in the understanding of the language and in both spoken and written English.

When the standard of written English in any project, for example: reports, letters, job applications, dissertations, business correspondence, journalism, marketing materials and copy-writing is excellent, it creates a much better impression on those who read the finished work. It shows that the writer has taken the trouble to improve their writing skills.

English is not an easy language to master, for there are so many spelling nuances that conspire to confuse the student of English. Take for example the letter combination of OUGH! This is the international student's nightmare! Words that contain this letter combination include: bought, borough, brought, though, thorough, thought, nought.
